“Help to bring a concept to fruition”
David had an idea and a web developer but needed help with branding and to elevate the existing design style. We took inspiration from the Greek colour palette because the word ‘chiropractic’ comes from the Greek words ‘Cheir’ meaning hand and ‘Praktos’, but beyond the palette, we looked at featuring a clean, modern design to embrace the use of specialist technology used at the practice.
One of our biggest challenges was to create an icon that resembled a spinal disc, through the spine and not featuring the spine itself and most people are unfamiliar with this shape. We critiqued a lot of ideas at this stage but came up with a brilliant result that combines i) the universally recognised rippling symbol for pain ii) the iconic power button that features a binary 1 + 0 (referencing technology) and iii) featuring a break in the disc which references the torn layers of a disc herniation. The result is simple and clear while also being full of significance to reflect the brand goals.
