“Create a brand that is fun, contemporary, relevant and approachable, helping international students overcome the challenges associated with English language when studying abroad”
Turtletalk is a brand not about turtles! It’s about English Language and so the branding features a turtle shell that has been designed around a location ‘pin’ marker. That pin is the core of the design, communicating the idea of students from overseas, relocating and finding support in English language.
The turtle is framed by a compass to suggest the start of a new adventure and the turtle itself symbolises wisdom, knowledge, intelligence and a calm, collected approach. What I love is that we have featured an abstract version of the artwork through the logo. The pin marker represents the turtle, the arch represents the compass (which is aslo shaped like a smile to suggest the positive results of ‘talking’ with turtletalk and the arrow at the bottom represents a forward direction/relocation. As a whole, the shape vaguely resembles a stick person (which the brand’s goal is to help).
The result is a brand that is unique, meaningful, engaging and optimistic. A visual personality that positions itself as friendly, professional and modern.
